Mission The mission of the School of Professional Studies Student Government is to create a unified community for all students of the SPS programs by representing the student body through advocacy for student interests and opinions to the SPS administration, faculty, alumni, and the greater Columbia University community.
Membership BenefitsMembership Benefits for SPSSG Representatives include but are not limited to the following opportunities: - Advocate for and represent your SPS constituents in voting matters within SPSSG, shaping SPS policies - Collaborate with students from all 18 programs at SPS as well as the Office of Student Life on active and ongoing projects and events - Develop and enhance leadership and project management skills - Build strong networks with SPSSG Representatives from all 18 programs at SPS as well as the Alumni Relations Office, the Career Design Lab (CDL), and more - Serve on and organize events and goals for one of four active committees: Alumni, Social, CDL, and Community Engagement - Enjoy exclusive access to events, workshops, and leadership training**Positions in the SPS Student Government (SPSSG) are available to MS and MPS students in the School of Professional Studies. Nominations and Elections begin at the start of the Fall and Spring Semester.
