Land Your “First Job” Workshop

The objective of this workshop is to inform our students, by example, of practical approaches for “must know” and “must do” best practices to improve and enhance their position in landing their desired first job in the marketplace. The components of this workshop include approaches in opportunities identification, cast a wide net vs. targeted career pursuits, networking and relationship mapping, different interview readiness and preparation techniques, company study and due diligence (at organization, department, and role levels), case study interviews, critical behavior attributes and techniques, and some basic but important communication skills.

During this workshop, we will provide approaches and examples of each component and resulting from establishing an understanding of these concepts, we will schedule individual follow ups with interested students to work in specific areas of what was covered in the workshop, in more depth.
